Jacksdale and Underwood Surgeries Online

Jacksdale and Underwood SurgeriesJacksdale Medical Centre is situated in the heart of Jacksdale village.  Jacksdale is the oldest village within the Selston Parish at the border of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. It has most of the essential services such as the Medical Centre, Dental Surgery, Post Office, Community Centre and shops, providing a variety of daily needs. The pharmacy is situated next door to the surgery.

With effect from Monday 11th April Underwood surgery will be open for one day per week as per instructions for the Clinical Commissioning Group.  This decision has been made after Public Engagement and close working with the Practice/CCG and NHS England.

Opening times :  Wednesday 8am to 6pm

Appointments:  Dr Karen Brown will be holding morning surgeries during May and June (when available as she is still employed at her current practice in Nottingham until July)  When she leaves the Nottingham practice and is based permanently at Jacksdale she will  see patients at Underwood on a Wednesday morning.

Dr Shah and the Practice Nurse will be on duty on Wednesday evenings as usual.

Repeat Prescriptions:  The box on the outside of the building will be emptied daily and the prescriptions processed at Jacksdale.  Please let the staff know if you have not made a decision on your choice of Pharmacy.  If we have no decision from you then the prescriptions will go to Acorn Pharmacy in Jacksdale.

During the days that Underwood is closed the staff will all be transferred to Jacksdale where they will be happy to help you make appointments or any issues that arise.

Ruth Gee and Evelyn Cole will be working as Health Care Assistants under the guidance of the Practice Nurse and GP's and will be available for your routine screening needs.

If you have any worries or concerns regarding the above implementation please contact:
